*******Update*************

Added another unicorn, this one in the classic style of old tapestries, here: [link]

**************************

Thought I would try something different for this piece. :) Most of my photomanips end up looking almost like digital paintings or 3D renderings. I wanted to try to make a scene of fantasy creatures that looks *real*.

The scene is inspired by the film The Last Unicorn, which was one of my favorites when I was a child. I had this photograph of the waves, and was trying to decide what sort of creature to put in it and unicorns popped into my head. If you've seen the film you know why.

Special thanks to all the stock photographers who lend their work to this!

Also a big thanks to Equine-resource for their huge gallery (in which I found several of the above stock images), and to other artists whose photos I didn't use but who were kind enough to offer permission. This isn't a complete list (I got the narwhal horns from some web search and I think I used some lion tails, heavily manipulated... possibly a few other random things), but this is most of it. The wave background is mine.

Thanks once again to these wonderful photographers. If I've messed up any links please let me know; there was a lot to include!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

Tu es amazante, ma soeur. It looks like a photo! :D The only criticism I have is that the back/butt and the left forearm of the unicorn in the front looks a tad...hrm. Not meshing exactly? If that makes sense.
Less the forearm, I think.
But besides that, this is *really* amazing. Are you sure Unicorns aren't real?
And are they playing or attacking each other?

You know, outside the circus, most people were afraid of me. But I didn't hate them. I pitied them. Do you know why? Because most people will never know anything beyond what they see with their own two eyes. ~ Nightcrawler, X-Men 2

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I love this! As I've told you before, Unicorns in water is a huge theme in Chinese culture.
